Burning Hearts...

Don't know, how the hell I managed to miss this song, since it's been on many of the blogs I usually read (must be the busy-making-music-thing). But goddamn, it's one of the most catchy indiepop songs I've heard in ages, sorta Sambassadeur meeting 80ies pop, if that makes sense? Anywho, take a listen, "Into the Wilderness":

Anything else? No, not a thing. I'm skipping Roskilde, so I'm just chilling these days (and loving every minute of it :-)).

White noise / Young country...

Thanks very much to hvid støj for the nice review (and yes, it's a cello :-))!

And weekend! Yesterday I went to the Papercuts concert and today I've just been reading Erlend Loe and listening to Neil Young (traditional country, that's pretty much what you need on a quiet Saturday):

New birds and summer songs (part three)...

2007: Without a doubt this one by our Spanish friends, Klaus & Kinski:

2008: Two songs. This one (though it says 2009, the earlier version was released late 2007):

And this one (the song of the decade, if you ask me, goddamn I love that band):

2009: Yup, Loney, Dear:

2010: Well, spent most of my time listening to John Mogensen and this perfect summer song:

New birds and summer songs (part two)...

2003: Well, two songs for that one. You couldn't go anywhere without listening to this:

And at home we listened to this :-):

2004: Crap summer, which ended in breaking up with girlfriend in September. One good thing about it, though, was discovering this dude:

2005: Crap summer, due to a bike accident I was dizzy most of the time. However, I did manage to listen to insane amounts of Herman Düne, this one for instance:

2006: Lovely summer, hanging out with jpg-Manja, drinking coffee and beer and listening to this:

New birds and summer songs...

Some pictures from Loppen via UGP Music, check'em out.

And I had a lovely weekend, doing absolutely nothing, just reading a novel, watching the Danish U21 team getting their asses kicked by Iceland and going for a few walks in the neighbourhood. The latter made me realise that I haven't found this year's summer song or album yet (I usually listen to music when I'm walking, that's why). It also made me think back and quickly compile a list of summer songs 2000-2010. And here it is (I'll post it in three parts, one today, one tomorrow and one Wednesday, since a large amount of Youtube-videos ain't no good in one blog-post :-)):

2000: Dead easy remembering that one, got Philophobia for my Birthday and I practically didn't listen to anything else that summer. Here's the best lovesong sorta ever made:

2001: Dead easy remembering that one, too. Driving around Europe with my girlfriend, while listening to Smog and Godspeed You! Black Emperor (and I distinctly remember arriving in Florence with these drums hammering away):

2002: Kinda harder to remember, because I didn't do much that summer. So I had to look through my old albums and lo and behold, I found this one, which I do remember hearing a million times or something like that:

Busy week (and a bit of Latin...)

Oh yeah. Since Friday: Concert with Pretty Polly Band, concert with Halasan Bazar, beer and campari, opening of bike shop, beer, party, concert with Copenhagen Collaboration, beer, trying to fix computer, working, playing Boombox-concert in Trinitatis, buying new computer and working some more. So this evening I'll just do some reading and then it's bedtime.

Oh, and I've started reading some Latin again, here's a splendid poem by Martial (try Google, it's rather funny :-)):

"Zoile, quod solium subluto podice perdis,
spurcius ut fiat, Zoile, merge caput."

Loppen...

That was fun! If I may so myself, we played a pretty goddamn cool concert! And the audience and the other bands were cool too, so we had a lovely, lovely evening. We'll post some pictures on Facebook soonish, but the two above will at least give you an idea of how it looks with a guitar / bass battle going on and how tired you can actually look going home at 4 in the morning ;-).

Speaking of concerts, please check this setlist via Jens Unmack (The Cure playing in Sidney, holy goddamn moly!).

Strange Moosic...

That's what I'll be doing tonight, listening to the new Herman Dune album right here.

And Loppen tomorrow, yay!
