It's the onion memory that makes me cry...

Weekend! So today I went to the library (I'm not the only one liking it, apparently it's cool architecture, says Ifversen and Politiken), and now, I'm gonna read the new Lynley novel and listen to this album (and relax!):

Oh, and the nice line above is from a poem by Craig Raine (though I found it in novel by Alexander McCall Smith).

Concerts in June...

Yes:

June 2nd, Loppen, supporting The Cave Singers.
June 14th, Trinitatis Kirke, with Leap Over Light.

Oh, and btw, as I said in the previous post I'm reading a book about Medieval Europe. It's got some very interesting points, but since I'm assuming that most of this blog's readers aren't historians, I won't bore you with the details :-). However, one cool (and not history related) thing about it is that it reminded me of Charlemagne (the band, that is). But I couldn't locate my cd and finding the song that I really, really, really wanted to hear proved rather difficult. Luckily, in the end I found it, it's called "August Evenings" and it's right here, so go listen, it's brilliant!

A lovely song for a lovely Sunday...

Oh yeah! Ain't done nothing this weekend. Went to the new (and very cool!) library in NV yesterday and some sort of market today, but apart from that I've just been reading an excellent book about Medieval Europe and watching some telly. And listening to this (I love everything about it, even the completely screwed up bass in the last chorus):

Mayhem...

Thanks very much to Red Red Wine On A Sunday. And John LaMotte part one and two.

And now, I'm off to Mayhem (Festival of endless gratitude) to see Barn Owl and Jefre Cantu-Ledesma, shoegaze is what we need today!

German lessons...

Not quite German, but thanks very much to Underlyd!

But returning to the subject. At school (I'm a teacher's assistant) we've started making the pupils listen to German music. So today we heard "99 Luftballons" and next week it'll be "Der goldene Reiter". And then I'm thinking that we'll try this one (I loooove the lyrics, check'em here, if you feel like it):

"Geschmackvoll frisiert - Günther Netzer" :-).

Lovely songs for a lovely Sunday

Just been out on a bike ride while listening to Yo La Tengo (it kinda turned Copenhagen NV into a beautiful place):

And thanks very much to Hits In The Car (again :-)) and abscence vs. air.
