Cover Me...

Yes! We've signed with beautiful Our Little Sisters Records (brand new sublabel of equally beautiful Pad & Pen Records). We love it and we love'em!
And that means that the EP "Monte Carlo" will be out and about on iTunes, Bandcamp etc. on April 25th.
And wait a minute, while we're dancing and celebrating like whatnot, there's a free song in it for you. It's a cover of Springsteen's "Cover Me" and you can listen and download right here:

It's sad as hell and the trombone solo is the most beautiful thing you've ever heard. Or something. And thanks so much to Mads Bay Mulvad for the upright bass and Frederik Iversen for the trombone.
Take care, we love you!

Lovely, indeed

Friday: "Fyraftensøl" at work, Kebabistan, bed.
Saturday: Watching football at a bar and then a party, beers and dancing.
Sunday: Rehearsing with Line.
Today: Work. And you know what? I've just been out running while listening to this album:

And good news to come sorta soonish!

Papercuts

Ok, so now I've bought the album. And I'm just gonna repeat myself: holy goddamn moly! We're talking understated shoegaze, 60ies pop, psych and a whole lotta reverb in one cool mix. The songs are structured and arranged in a slightly weird and at times simple manner (sorta like The Walkmen), but there are still so many indie hymns you ain't gonna believe it. Try this chorus for instance:

And yeah, I'm predicting that they'll be huge (and I'm thinking that quite a few indie girls will love'em to the absolute max too :-)).

Sink Ships...

Oh, and speaking of the Devil, this Danish band sounds kinda Neil Young-ish (though the vocals somehow remind me of Evan Dando?!):

On My Way (pre-master) by Sink Ships

Anyways, I rather like it and it's definitely pretty cosy music for a Saturday!

Do You Really Wanna Know

I rarely read reviews, but today I stumbled upon one in Politiken, where Pernille Jensen reviewed Papercuts' "Fading Parade". And after finding this song I can guarantee that I'll be buying that album, holy goddamn moly!:

Lotta love...

Neil Young! Just what you need on a Sunday. Well, that and walking in the sun and listening to this one (it's pretty much perfect, the drums, the bass and the guitars make me wanna dance and when the tambourine enters at 3.13, it's just .... Wow!):

Cool things...

...to do, when you're ill.

Watch Charlotte Kalla win silver and gold at the World Championships, yay!

Read Christian Kock's "De svarer ikke". Highly recommendable. Especially after watching Ida Auken and Peter Skaarup doing an inane iPod battle on live tv (what the hell is up with politicians these days, I would kinda like to know WHY I should vote for you based on some sort of argument instead of seing you avoiding questions, badmouthing the opponent or playing your favourite songs).

Watch "Gintberg på kanten", where they talked about this one (and oh, the nostalgia :-)):
